My Life at 3 Months
Hello world! I wanted to take a minute to show what I do all day long! Believe it or not, even at just 3 months I have lots of things to do throughout the day, so I wanted to make sure to document it all. I am so busy!
I start the day by waking up and eating breakfast with my mom in my PJs. Well really she does most of the eating, I just like to stare at her.
I spend most of my day doing two things: playing at home and sleeping. Mom likes to talk, sing and tickle me while I sit in her lap on the boppy. Sometimes she's funny...
Sometimes she's not...
I also play a lot on my stomach (mom says this will help with crawling)
And in my exersaucer or on my playmate... although sometimes my fingers are more interesting than any toy mom puts in front of me...
Of course, mom goes a little stir crazy being at the house ALL day, so we usually run at least one errand or meet one of her friends for lunch. I'm always really good when we run errands...
And let's not forget my #2 priority, sleeping... I love to sleep on my side these days and don't really need to be swaddled any more... and oh yeah, as long as my paci falls out after I fall asleep, I'm ok...
I usually sleep in my crib, but sometimes after eating I get soooo sleepy and fall asleep right on mommy's shoulders. She usually wakes me up to stay on "schedule"... but I'd probably hang out on her shoulder all day long if she'd let me....
And of course, a day wouldn't be complete without at least 6 diaper changes... I spend a good amount of time on the changing table...
And then at last! Around 5:30 or 6, my other favorite person comes home... dad! I love to giggle with him... he's pretty funny too...

3 Months Old!
Lucy turned 3 months old this week! She is getting so big, it's hard to even imagine she was in my stomach just 3 months ago. She is growing so much and becoming so much more active. She loves to smile and laugh with us, roll around on the ground (with our help), look in the mirror, read books, sing songs, and play on her play mat. She continues to be an extremely happy baby, rarely crying and smiling most of the day. She sleeps 7-9 hours straight each night and then goes back to sleep for another 2-3 hours after eating. We are so lucky!
At 3 months, I am still absolutely loving being a stay at home mom. My days are filled with playing with Lucy, running errands, working out, and doing chores - exactly what I want to be doing. I celebrated my 26th birthday last week, and aside from going to lunch with Katy and Erin, my day pretty much consisted of that same routine. I didn't really do anything out of the ordinary on my birthday, but I realized, being at home with Lucy was special enough. Spending the day at home with her, was exactly where I would want to be on my birthday, and I told Ben that the best present he gave me (and continues to give me) for my birthday was the opportunity to stay home with our little girl.
At 3 months, I also thought I would be completely healed from labor, but seems like God has a different plan for me! I ended up getting a minor surgery last week to help my body re-heal from the episiotomy... hoping that this will finally help clear things up and I can get back to my normal self. Who knew little Lucy could cause so much damage! Fortunately... I'm reminded that it is worth it every time I look at her... Unfortunately she may be an only child for a long time after this recovery process! :)
Stats: I think Lucy is weighing in around 13.5 pounds (although our scale at home can be irregular). We don't go to the doctor this month, so will have official stats next month. She's definitely on the smaller end, we've gotten together with some of our friend's babies and she is usually the smaller one in the bunch.
Hello world- look how big I am!
My mom is sooo funny...
Ok mom... get this over with
Now it's time to get fancy...
Model shot, looking whimsically into the distance...
I love my fingers

Park Day With Cousins
Last Friday I spent the day practicing being a mother of 3! I watched Jadyn and Jordyn from 9am-9pm and boy was I exhausted by the end of it all. We had a blast hanging out, but I definitely gained respect for any mom with 2+ kids! Lucy of course didn't seem to mind having the extra company, she stuck to her priorities - eating, sleeping and pooping... and her favorite, sucking on her fingers.
We were supposed to head to the zoo, but found out it was closed on our way downtown, so we ended up at Holiday Park instead, had a picnic lunch (and by picnic I mean, the kids sat in the back of the explorer while I feed Lucy in the front) and went for a hike in the woods.

Baseball Game
Took Lucy to her Uncle Matt's baseball game... she was really excited :) Ok, maybe not yet... but in a couple years I'm sure she'll be his biggest cheerleader!

Pool Day (for real this time!)
Ben and I took advantage of the nice weather and took Lucy out to the pool for her first swim. She mostly seemed to be taking it all in, but I think she liked it!

Memorial Day Weekend
Our first road trip! We headed down to Pigeon Forge with some friends from our Bible study and had a blast. The drive was a bit more than I was expecting, what with having to stop every 2 hours to feed/change/burp Lucy, but we made it! I'm proud that we accomplished our first road trip with the babe.
Lucy of course was awesome, and has gotten back into sleeping 8-9 hours a night (I started stretching her nights after the unbearable sleepless nights last week). All of our friends were super understanding of needing to be on "baby schedule" time and helped a ton with the baby, but I definitely realized how much our lives had changed as I sat in the bedroom nursing Lucy and heading to bed at 10pm, while they stayed up partying till 1-2 o'clock in the morning. Life is different now... but it's good different.
(more pictures to come... brandon took a bunch that I need to get from him)
My first overnight at a hotel!
Getting ready for a hike with Aunt Katy...
oh yeah... i love to pull my shirt up now... what?!?! wouldn't you want to if you just learned to grab stuff?

Pool Day!
I was so excited, I bought Lucy her first swim suit, put her in it, got her all lathered up with sun tan lotion, took her to Katy's pool... only to find out that she had one thing on her mind, and one thing only....
Better luck next time...
