Summer Bucket List

We've kind of become a bucket list family.  We made onw last summer and last fall, and this summer we've created a 2012 Summer Bucket List for our family (although some activities are just for Ben and I!).  Ben and I love having fun and making the most of our time together as a family and with our friends, so a bucket list is a perfect way to make sure we are staying on track - having as much fun as possible!

Here is our list for this summer...

Summer reading program

Monon/downtown carmel walk
Zoo
Lake wawasee trip
S’mores
Walk to get ice cream
Picnic
U-pick fruit
Splash park

Tour de broad ripple date night

Weekend trip to Michigan

We may add to this, and we may not do it all - but I think we've got a good start!  Here's a few pictures from some activities we've already accomplished...

Walk to get Ice Cream... check!
We walked through some neighborhoods to get ice cream at a local place called "Vienna Ice Cream"... formerly a Ritters.  We really wanted to cross an item off our list this past Sunday, but Hank did not take a good afternoon nap, so we decided to get ice cream before dinner.  I know, I know, we're crazy.

Had to take a picture of me and the Hank... since I'm usually the one behind the camera.  Hank didn't enjoy any ice cream, sorry little guy, maybe next year!

 Splash Park... Check!
We took the babies to a splash park last Memorial Day.  We spent most of the day running errands and getting ready for vacation (more to come on that!) but we decided to take a break in the afternoon to play a little!

Luc still isn't crazy about the unpredictable water that squirts at her from all different directions, but she enjoyed playing at a the regular park next door.

Oh how I love those rolls...
 S'mores... check!
I think we ended up doing this the night of memorial day.  We built a bonfire in the backyard (despite the 80 degree heat!) and roasted marshmallows.

Lucy was definitely more into the smores than at Christmas time, but she was still more into just eating straight marshmallows than taking the time to roast the smores!
